JOB OPENINGS/INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

 

  1. MARKET RESEARCHER POSITION (TEMP, PROJECT BASED ONLY)- Market research analysts conduct research and study market conditions to make recommendations on effective marketing strategies; they can choose to work in the fashion industry/ develop campaigns to increase consumer interest in a product.

 

The ideal candidate is ready to roll up his or her sleeves and lead brainstorms, dig into data, and develop strategic insights to help us answer questions such as:

 

  • What content is most efficiently converting readers into purchasers in the fashion category online and why?
  • What are the potential growth areas we haven't tapped into yet?
  • What brand partners should we be working with and how? 
  • What tools do our teams need to more effectively generate commerce revenue? 
  • What products and services are our readers interested in right now and how do we capitalize on that?  

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

  •  Research & recommend new affiliate partnerships in the fashion & luxury category
  •  Have a deep understanding of our existing commerce partnerships, tools, and offerings; communicate these to potential partners and internal stakeholders
  •  Track performance of commerce content and partnerships; share feedback with editors and monitor gains and losses 
  • Work with editorial teams to develop, test, and track new content franchises and share learnings to other teams across the org 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including audience, business development, editorial, product, marketing, and more to develop new projects and vet opportunities 

 

 WHO YOU ARE:

 

  • Associate Degree/Bachelor's Degree (NOT required)
  • 2+ years experience in a business development, content strategy, or marketing role, preferably at a digital media or e-commerce company
  • Highly detail and solutions-oriented, approaches problems creatively
  • Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and is comfortable working independently
  • Well-versed in building strong relationships with colleagues and explaining complex topics in simple terms
    Experienced in analyzing data, interpreting results, and building digestible reports in Excel, Google Slides, and other BI tools


2. DESIGN/CREATIVE TEAM MEMBER (TEMP, PROJECT BASED ONLY)- Create apparel;shoes;and purses, scarves and other accessories, as well as oversee production 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

  • Maintain awareness of seasonal trends through market shopping, trend research and stay current with competition. 
  • Create presentation materials 
  • Create presentation boards. 
  • Develop seasonal color palettes by maintaining awareness of market color direction and internal brand color selling history. 
  • Research markets through trade shows and trend services identifying specific fabrics for the season, work with the sourcing team to source each fabric to meet the specific pricing needs of each brand. (DUE TO COVID-19, THIS IS NO LONGER AN EXPECTATION)
  • Select each style's fabric, trims, materials and colors that fit into the assortment and style plans. 
  • Work with a team to develop standards to maintain and grow the internal material library. 
  • Design all classifications (jackets, skirts, pants, knits and sweaters) 
  • Prepare line and presentation materials for line reviews and buyer meetings. Create presentation materials for Multi-market product assortment meetings. 
  • Be prepared with proto samples, store bought samples, fabric swatches, sketches and tears during Monthly Development Meetings 
  • Create flat mechanical sketches for design development packages (to technical design, sourcing and overseas.) 
  • Create design development Package. Manage and maintain all information through to final approval. 
  • Manage Seasonal line sheets. Maintain records so Line sheets are updated and correct for product line selection. 
  • Provide color direction for garments to properly assort the product and seasonal collections. 
  • Review and approve proto samples. 
  • Work with technical designers to ensure tech packages are accurate and complete; review with Manager and provide specific feedback and collaborative direction when necessary. 
  • Adhere to the seasonal time and action calendars. Work collaboratively with internal sourcing teams, buyers and technical design to elevate calendar issues and provide resolution in order to maintain calendar dates. 
  • Approve fabric samples, lab dips and other development materials sent from factories. Work collaboratively with internal material management teams to provide feedback and clear and concise direction in order to execute approvals properly. 
  • Communicate on a daily basis with overseas offices.



WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in apparel design or equivalent business experience. (NOT required)
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in designing apparel or in a wholesale/retail design environment. Ideally 1-2 years experience designing contemporary women's apparel
  • Excellent presentation skills; the ability to present to a large audience including celebrity vendors. Must have strong negotiation and persuasion skills to pitch. 
  • Understanding of garment construction and some knowledge of pattern-making processes.  
  • Sketching ability with creativity in both color and design. 
  • Illustrator and/or Photoshop CAD skills with the ability to make effective board presentations and render original design concepts. 
  • Ability to achieve due dates as established by brand calendar.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to rapid change in a positive way that does not affect business.
  • Ability to analyze data/situations and draw relevant conclusions to have positive effects on business in a complex environment 
  • Working knowledge of how products are sourced.  
  • Work portfolio is appreciated when submitting an application when possible.


3. OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR (PART TIME)- Office administrator will answer calls, emails from customers, taking their orders, resolving issues with orders, answering questions, running orders from production space to post office and helping navigate the line. (Includes communication/support of team)

*Communication with customers may be handled by a virtual assistant but other duties will need to be preformed physically.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

  • Organize orders by week and distribute to production team weekly
  • Create labels for hang tags
  • Updating the online line sheets with photos of new samples
  • Creating UPS/FedEx labels as well as scheduling pick ups
  • Ordering office and shipping supplies

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • No degree requirement
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word. (1 year of experience preferred.)
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop is preferred. (1-2 years of experience preferred.)
4.GARMENT PRESSING TEAM MEMBER (PART TIME)- Operates pressing machines to smooth surfaces, flatten seams, or shape articles such as garments. 

 

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

  • Operate pressing machines, which include both hydraulic and steam devices, to remove wrinkles from pants, shirts, coats, gowns and a variety of other articles to shape them appropriately
  • Remove a finished article of clothing from the pressing machine and hang properly to allow article to cool and retain its shape
  • Package finished coats and dresses, and tag according to company guidelines so that they are ready for customer pick up
  • Use hand iron to finish off certain pieces that need a final touch to remove any discrepancies in the fabric
  • Position finished materials on the overhead system and retrieve items when a customer comes to pick up something
  • Clean pressing machines at the end of every shift, using company-provided lubricants and cleaning solutions to ensure they are ready for the next day
  • Apply finishing touches to certain pieces of clothing depending on the material

  1. BUYER(TEMP, PROJECT BASED ONLY)- Plan and make buying decisions. Based on the customer’s buying patterns and company budget, they analyze how much of each item to buy, the mix of brands and what to buy for each location that will drive profit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Analyze and report on product and collection results based on company’s sales 
  • Collate regular feedback from various store locations in order to help shape the total season assortment, based on the expert knowledge that you have of each store and market 
  • Contribute towards the effective management of the open-to-buy budget regularly presenting results at weekly wrap meetings
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of stock rebalancing, identifying strategic opportunities and present during weekly wrap meetings/monthly development meetings.
  • Manage stock movements relating to specific customer requests and effectively manage the special order process 
  • Implement and run reporting and analysis to closely monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales within your region, deep-diving into category or sizing where necessary

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Extensive local market/ regional knowledge gained from a similar Buying or Retail Merchandising role in a retailer 
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with a high level of attention to detail 
  • Strong communication skills, personable with proven experience in developing close partners with store teams 
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage complexity 
  • Demonstrate an excellent level of product sensitivity to your category

  1. FINANCIAL CONTROLLER(ON CALL, PART TIME)- The controller oversees all activities of the accounting department and is invoiced in the supervision and management of general accounting activities, analyzes, business partnership and the maintenance of effective internal controls while ensuring statutory compliance in all accounting initiatives

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Works closely with design, production, and sales department to review vendor invoices 
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents 
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions 
  • Pays vendors, schedule and prepare payment, and resolve purchase orders 
  • Reviews and reconciles monthly credit card statements 
  • Monitor AR collections and contact customers for payment

WHO YOU ARE:

  1. PUBLIC RELATIONS (FULL TIME, CONTRACT) - A public relations agent focuses on media attention to increase brand awareness and improve public perception.

  1. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER/MARKETER (PART TIME)- Our team is looking for a confident social media marketer to help directly manage our social channels on an ongoing basis. We’re looking for someone with a strong visual aesthetic and the capability to manage Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Linkedin. Experience in fashion or beauty is a big plus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Create content for Bang Revolution Apparel social media platforms 
  • Create a clear social media and marketing strategy that will drive tremendous follower and engagement growth, resulting in a substantial increase in sales and ROI 
  • Post to multiple social media platforms such as Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Snapchat, etc… 
  • Content writing for posts across all social media platforms 
  • Email content writing and planning 
  • Merchandising of Apparel, Accessories, Shoes, Swim, and Accessories on tribestyles.com, including ensuring accurate descriptions, categorization, and enticing landing pages 
  • Partner with cross functional partners to execute launch of new website 
  • Answer comment backs across all social media and marketing platforms in a timely matter 
  • Stay on top of trending topics 
  • Use email marketing to drive sales and brand awareness 
  • Partner with events teams to ensure successful virtual and live events across the world 

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 2-3 years+ of relevant experience required, including at least 1 year working for an athletic, swim, swag, or apparel company 
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends and travel frequently (up to 2-3 weekends of the month once events resume)
